Getting Started
Installation
At present, Dondock is in its beta testing phase and is available exclusively to specific users. If you'd like to be part of it, feel free to reach out to us through our contact page.
First Launch
Status menu
Please note that Dondock is designed to operate as a menu bar app, meaning it won’t appear in the dock or command-tab app switcher, unless the Settings or Configuration windows are open.
It has three buttons in the menu bar:
- App actions
- Dictation (more information)
- Voice command (more information)
Accessibility permissions
Since the app monitors changes in windows or active apps and simulates key presses, it requires accessibility permissions. When you launch the app for the first time, you will encounter a dialog box that will redirect you to the system settings. Simply use the toggle next to the app's name.
Upon its first launch, Dondock will introduce you to several pre-set contexts to get you started. You can edit them or create your own.
